We’ll admit a good portion of this project was originally selfish.

We've always been a fan of word-of-mouth recommendations. We’ll take the word of our friends’ recommendation over that of a celebrity any day. But the more conversations w had, the more we realized how many others there were— others who were weary from the layers of paid content they had to peel back just to find anything that was heartfelt, genuine and without an alternate agenda. Weary of how everything has seemed to turn into one big advertisement, with things mining our data to market to us at every turn of our lives.

So in 2020, our founder, Genevieve , decided to take a year long sabbatical from all social media, both personally and professionally. By channeling the energy she could have spent on posts for her brand studio Corling & Co., she was able to focus it all on one idea and in return, bring something much more tangible into the world. It doesn’t hurt that she’s also an Enneagram 6.

The result, after collaboration with numerous international creative minds, is The Loyalist, Issue 01.
